wow, very stylish. i always flinch from buying anything white (even off-white) - love how she combined her jacket with the black leather shorts and the beige delicate shirt. perfect.
@Style crusader- me too Jen! I love the fact that it doesn't have lapels although, I wonder, on anyone over, say, 40 would this look too nanna-ish?
@A(squared)+M & @BB: She wears them so well, doesn't she! I think my dad used to have a pair like this when I was growing up.....no doubt I didn't think they were very cool then but now I would leap on them! Wonder if they are vintage?
@Clara- thanks Clara! Pity I stuffed the light up in the second photo. Always hard to get everything right when you are shooting fast. Oh well, guess I learn from my mistakes!
@Anthea- more leather, more leather! (but not the kind of leather that I saw in Amsterdam and Berlin ;)). I adore the way she has softened the leather shorts with the cute little jacket and silk shirt.
@Ginta- my thoughts exactly- tough and feminine all at once. And her little peep toe shoes work so well with her whole look.
@Blindcopy- argh! you and me both! I have had off white, cream suits in the past (back in the 90's!) but one wear and I have a dry-cleaning bill to pay (and don't get me started on dry-cleaners losing thing-grrrrrr). Maybe the key is to only buy washable white or cream.....
What a beautiful way to wear leather shorts! Love her kooky cool sunglasses and the simple necklace against that stunning blouse. Gorgeous :) City Girl x
June: Portugal as a travel destination; Grilled fish in the sun (I hope!) followed by pastel de nata(s) with strong coffee; Lattes at The Monocle Coffee Shop, London; Inspired by a wonderful tarte tatin I had in Australia, I am attempting this recipe for a suitably sticky and caramely fine apple tart this month; Rory Beca Keala front panel dress (a super easy tunic dress to throw on after a day spent at the beach. Team with gladiator sandals for a casual look or heels to dress it up); Rosamosario Lovers En Space striped bikini (frills for grown-up girls); Free People washed cord overalls (love the more tailored style of these overalls....perfect if you don't like the relaxed fit overalls); Citizens of Humanity Anja Maxi skirt; Christopher Kane floral-print hooded sweatshirt (love the print....and the hood gives it an edge); Soludos classic striped espadrilles (holiday wear! So pretty with sunkissed skin and lovely white dress) or try the more luxurious option in these Valentino lace espadrilles (beautiful); Topshop Moto vintage midi denim dress; Thakoon pleated poplin shirt dress (so pretty and fresh); Topshop oversized crop sweater (love the pretty spearmint colour); Reading: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson; Currently Burning: Diptyque Roses candle (I have the mini version of this and it is so beautiful).
I am an Australian lawyer turned photographer living in London;
I take a thousand photographs every day - some in my head, some with my camera;
I can't imagine doing anything else with my life- I am totally and utterly in love with my camera and with the people and things I photograph
