i love this girl, her highlights in hair and glasses, blazer is so simple i love the pattern, but one thing i don't like is a bag, i think it doesn't fit http://trivialinsanity-n.blogspot.com/
this girl is seriously cool and is dressed exactly in a way i'd like to. her look is so effortlessly perfect to me. absolutely in love with that first black and white shot.... so beautiful. xx
oh oh oh that hair!!! vanessa i need this hair in my life.. and you are most welcome about the vogue find haha, i have this great newsagent who knows me too well, and whenever he gets the magazines fresh off the air freight he lets me know and i buy them right up. the other day i had to buy the australian financial review for a uni assignment and he turned to me, face stricken, saying "what happened to vogue?" i reassured him that i was going to buy vogue as soon as he got it in, this was just a temporary lapse haha.
did you end up getting the vogue? esther adams - the girl who wrote the article, and new fashion writer for vogue us - must be a reader! she's got really cool, celine-esque style, if you see her around next fashion week you should definitely grab a photo. :)
Hey Miss Hannah! My mum tried to buy a copy of the magazine (god love her!) for my (small!) moment of fame but apparently the new one is out already in Aus?!! Helllllooooo I think we still have the October issue over here in the UK (well, I saw it at a store the other day maybe the new one is out now)....you guys get them quicker than we do! I am loving the sound of your newsagent guy :))) He knows the correct priorities! I thought maybe you had had a sneaky visit to the US ;)
haha i wish i had a sneaky trip to the US! i think i just am desperate for them so i know exactly when thye come in and i buy them right up.. the new one is on the stands now, but they always put the October issue back on in early december at a reduced price, which means your mum might be able to get it cheaper anyway! (about $9.95).
and my newsagent really is the best. i can't ever leave paddington because i don't think i'll find one as good as him haha!
i just spent the last couple hours going through page, after page of your photos and i must say-WOW! love the styles you capture, you must have killer style yourself!
i want to do a post on my blog LadyFLASHBACK.com of some of my favorite photos and will totally include a link over to your fab blog! let me know if you have any problems with this and i will put a halt on the idea for sure :))
again, love your blog! thanks for working so hard to bring these beautiful photos to us <3
May: Australia as a travel destination; Flat whites + cold pressed coffee from Ltd espresso + brew bar (Brunswick St, Brisbane) and BlackStar Coffee Roasters (West End, Brisbane); Avocado on toasted Turkish bread from Leavain Bakery (pick up a slab at the Jan Powers Powerhouse Farmers Market) with a drizzle of Joseph olive oil; Steak at the Brekky Creek Hotel (it may not be the best steak in Australia but a char-grilled steak in the iconic Beer Garden on a warm, sunny Autumn day is pretty hard to beat!); Bill Granger's Spicy Roast Pumpkin Salad (so delicious especially with bbq'd lamb cutlets. Add a little less cumin and cayenne pepper if you like things less spicy); Jocelyn's Provisions blonde brownie (a delicious sweet treat); Band of Outsiders cutout silk-chiffon midi dress (so dreamy and floaty.... perfect for warm spring evenings. Wear with flat summer sandals for the "I am definitely on holidays look!"); Current/Elliott The Infantry jacket (a cool alternative to the ubiquitous olive army jacket); Nicholas Kirkwood lace-mesh pumps(wear with a crisp white shirt, denim jeans + a bold red lip); J Brand Relaxed slouchy overalls (if you haven't got your hands on a pair of overalls yet...get on it! This yellow pair would be like wearing the sun on a daily basis); Tibi eyelet embroidered dress (a sweet dress for apres-beach.....or when you wish it was apres-beach!);J. Crew Collage crystal drop earrings (love the acid bright colours!); Topshop embroidered horse sweat (dreaming of my holiday at the White Stallion Ranch earlier this year); Topshop peplum frill corset (so pretty!); Reading: Australian Gourmet Traveller + MADE Quarterly magazine; Listening to: Just Give Me A Reason Pink/Nate Ruess, and Mountain Sound Of Monsters and Men; Watching: Django Unchained (brilliant, brilliant movie. I watched it while on my looooong Qantas flight)
I am an Australian lawyer turned photographer living in London;
I take a thousand photographs every day - some in my head, some with my camera;
I can't imagine doing anything else with my life- I am totally and utterly in love with my camera and with the people and things I photograph
Very cute.
